Giant Magnetoresistance
one may say that few humans do belong to the Hall of Glory,
that even fewer of them have ever came out of a laboratory,
that this is particularly true if one reads Nobel winners' story.
it must be said here that in the first instance
debut of the first 'giant magnetoresistance'
was made through his work and assistance.
maybe that experience of his did not have any switch
for the sample used was a kind of metallic sandwich.
'n' neither him nor any of his colleagues became rich,
but satisfaction (not fame) was earned by M. Baibich.
for the goodwill workers other glories there are indeed
glories that require the patience's and fraternity's seed
in order to grow, bloom, and give fruits of eternal deed.
Moacir I. da Costa Jr. (et S.)
a Homage to my friend and colleague Mário Norberto Baibich
who worked in the discovery of the giant magnetoresistance.
